ACERCA DE MÍ

Daniel Fernández Acera. I was born in the Asturian city of Avilés in Spain on 3 September 1980. I began my studies at the Oviedo School of Arts, studying fine arts and design. I have since taken courses in welding, forging, moulding, smelting, casting, modelling and 3D design.

I have also lived with the teacher Ramón Recuero in his blacksmith school in Toledo. Enthusiastic, self-taught and curious, I manage to shape what you need or imagine, whatever the challenge. I combine new technologies with traditional techniques, working with materials including metal, wood and resin. I have worked in sculpture, decoration, furniture, scenography and design; inventing my own equipment to create different works.

Throughout my career I have travelled to countries in Southeast Asia, South America, and Europe, working with other artists and artisans and soaking up each culture and ways of working.

I currently reside in Torremocha del Jarama, in a craft centre in the Sierra north of Madrid, where I have a workshop and where I develop my passion and art.
